This option does exist in the game, and you can do it in various ways. If you wonder if you can dual-wield in Biomutant, let me tell you that you are in luck. You’ve explored every inch of the ground without success. Equip a weapon in each hand and unleash a flurry of attacks. Now, some of you might have already arrived at such a town, but can’t seem to find where the benches actually are. We’ve provided the location of the town in the screenshots below. For example, we’ve found one of each in Mambleklump relatively early in the game.
#Biomutant weapons upgrade

However, figuring out where to find them within a town can be a problem for some of you. On the bright side, these upgrade benches can usually be found in specific towns, so they’re relatively safe. This makes them a fairly significant part of the game, especially for the gearheads among you that like to tinker with their stuff. In writing about Biomutant, we've been wont to refer to its protagonist as everything from a red panda to a raccoon. Ljungqvist explains that the 8x8 km of Biomutant's open world are "filled with a lot of weird events and fun things to find," before going on to discuss character customisation. "Basically in terms of structure, it's like Zelda: Breath of the Wild I guess," Ljungqvist says, adding that some of the feedback they've gotten is that it's "kind of a strange, weird, good mix between Ratchet and Clank, Devil May Cry, Batman: Arkham." But don't let that Zelda comparison trouble you with fears of weapon degradation - Ljungqvist is quick to reassure us that you don't have to repair weapons in Biomutant, and that while you can upgrade broken things, "they will never diminish in terms of their material qualities, like Zelda, for example."
